Surface Washing Process

“A long lasting paint job starts with a thorough surface washing process.”

The house washing process is typically the most overlooked part of the exterior painting process. However, it is also one of the most important in ensuring a long-lasting paint job. One of the top reasons a paint job will fail in the first 6-12 months is because paint was applied over mold or mildew that was not properly removed before paint was applied. Our highly trained team doesn’t just rinse your home with a power washer we thoroughly wash every surface to ensure a long lasting paint job.

Our wash process starts with treating surfaces containing mold, mildew or surface contaminates with a solution containing Jomax and bleach and hand scrubbing surfaces to ensure mold and mildew is properly removed from surfaces. Once mold and mildew is removed from surfaces our crew will do a final cleaning using a pressure washer on a low setting to remove remaining dirt & contaminants before painting begins.

Surface Preparation Process

At Full Circle Painting we understand that superior surface preparation is the most critical step to ensuring a high quality, long lasting paint job which is why we developed a proprietary 5 Step Surface Preparation Process to ensure that every surface is prepped to the highest standards before paint is applied.  

Our 5 Step Surface Preparation Process takes the industry standard preparation to the next level and ensures that every one of our clients get the highest quality paint job. Standard surface scraping and sanding will remove visibly peeling paint, however, it can leave behind paint that is not functionally adhering to the home leading to future paint failure. To prevent failure of old paint layers we take our preparation process a step further and sand every surface with specialized tools to remove paint that is visually adhering, but not functionally adhering to the home. Only after all failing paint is removed from the home will we apply our primer and paint to your home.     

Surface Painting & Staining Process

Once all surfaces are properly washed, prepped and primed with oil based primer we apply the highest quality paints or stains to all surfaces. Siding surfaces are typically painted first using top of the line spray equipment, brushes, or rollers depending on the surfaces being painted. Trim, window & door painting is done after siding is completed using brushes or rollers to ensure proper coverage and superior adhesion. Stain is applied to deck surfaces using brushes or rollers depending on condition of the surfaces being stained.

Carpentry Repairs

At Full Circle Painting & Contracting we understand that additional repairs come up during a paint job which is why we have a dedicated team of on-staff carpenters to ensure we can keep your project moving no matter what comes up and complete it on time!
